The Right Way To Protect And Serve

A young couple died in a car accident on their way home. When Georgia State Patrol Trooper Nathan Bradley went to inform the family of the tragedy, he was met by their four children in Halloween costumes.

The way Bradley went above and beyond the call of duty when tasked with such a difficult assignment is a beautiful example of those cops out there that embody what it means to really protect and serve.

That’s Not How Religious Freedom Works

Following the Kim Davis saga is frankly tiring. If you are unaware of this moronic waste of the media’s time, Kim Davis is the county clerk in Kentucky that stopped issuing marriage licenses altogether to avoid issuing licenses to same-sex couples.

Citing her religious beliefs as her reasoning, she stopped issuing licenses once the Supreme Court deemed same-sex marriage legal, disobeyed the direct court order to start back issuing licenses, forbade others in her office from doing so, unsuccessfully pursued loophole after loophole, and was eventually jailed for contempt of court.

It’s amazing how resilient the ignorant can be. That’s Not How Religious Freedom Works

What A Difference Humanity Makes

It’s easy to write the less-fortunate off as lazy or problematic. It takes courage and compassion to treat them as an equal, do what you can to help, and see what they do with it.

Kudos to the Greyston Bakery in Yonkers, NY. In an age where felons are deemed unemployable, their practice of providing jobs to anyone who signs up, regardless of their criminal or social background, is simply incredible.

It’s amazing to see the transformation that can take place simply by giving people an opportunity. What A Difference Humanity Makes

Racism Will Be Cured By Action, Not Discussion.

Here we go again…

Connecticut College canceled classes Monday to hold day-long discussions on racism and hate speech following the discovery of the words “No N***ers” written several times on the walls of a campus building. This comes a few days after a school custodian was told to “shut the f**k up you ignorant n***er”, and just weeks after a professor posted a Facebook status describing Palestinians in Gaza as “a rabid pit bull chained in a cage, regularly making mass efforts to escape.” Racism Will Be Cured By Action, Not Discussion.
